Cyber Police produces chargesheet in visa fraud case

JAMMU, Jan 12: Cyber Police Station Jammu produced chargesheet against two fraudsters involved in Rs 3.30 lakh online visa fraud case.
The chargesheet was produced in a case registered under FIR Number 25/2021 under Sections 66-D IT Act, 420 and 120 B IPC at Cyber Police Station Jammu.
The accused persons were Irshad Ahmed and Mohammed Tahir Khan, both resident of Watal Kadal Safakadal Srinagar.
According to the case, a complainant namely Sajjad Hussain, son of Ghulam Mustafa Shah, a resident of Dool District Kishtwar reported at Cyber Police Station Jammu that he was duped by unknown fraudsters on the pretext of issuance of visa to Dubai for his son. Complainant in need of visa for his son got trapped and lost Rs 3.30 lakh in multiple transactions.
After completion of investigation in a time bound manner, Inspector Vikram Sharma of Cyber Police Station Gandhi Nagar Jammu under the supervision of SP Naresh Singh, Incharge Cyber Police Station Jammu produced the chargesheet in Electricity Court. The next date of hearing is fixed for 31st January 2022.
