JAMMU, Oct 14: The Cyber Police Station, Jammu, Zone Jammu, has made notable progress in the third quarter of this year.
As per a statement, the team has successfully marked Rs 50.85 lakh for lien and refunded Rs 58.71 lakh to victims of cyber fraud.
Alongside these financial recoveries, the Cyber Police Station has been actively raising awareness about cybercrime.
Their outreach efforts target schools, healthcare institutions, retired personnel groups, armed forces, NGOs, and old age homes.
The goal is to educate the public on current cybercrime trends and how to prevent them.
Training sessions are also being conducted to enhance the capabilities of district Cyber Cells, enabling them to respond more effectively to cybercrime at the local level.
The Cyber Police Station emphasizes the importance of reporting cybercrimes through the cybercrime portal.
They also share important tips and advisories on their social media platforms to reach a broader audience.
Efforts are ongoing to block phone numbers and devices used in fraudulent activities, with a focus on tracking down scammers operating across state borders.
