JAMMU, Feb 2: A cyclist was killed while two others sustained injuries after a mini-bus hit them in Gangyal here today.
The deceased was identified as Bhoop Naryan (cyclist), son of Bali Ram of Uttar Pradesh, at present Sainik Colony, while the injured were identified as Manjeet, wife of Manga and Raj, wife of Surinder Singh, both residents of Valmiki Colony District Jammu.
On getting information, police team led by SHO Inspector Joginder Chib also rushed to the spot and arrested the mini-bus driver identified as Malvinder Singh of Raicheck Gurdaspur Punjab vis seized the vehicle.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs.
A case under FIR Number 08/2022 under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A IPC has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
