Dabur Jr Manager murdered

SAMBA, Nov 1: A manager in the Human Resource unit of Dabur India Ltd at Bari Brahmana was murdered by a worker in the factory premises this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh Chander Sharma (48), son of R K Sharma, resident of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. He was working as Junior Manager, HR in the Dabur India Ltd. The accused also attacked Welfare Officer of the Unit, Dharamvir Rai, son of Desh Bahadur Rai, resident of Dharamshalla (HP) and caused him serious injuries.
SSP Samba Israr Ahmed Khan told the Excelsior that the incident took place at around 1.30 pm when the factory workers were taking lunch. The accused Kailashwar Honsda (32), son of Chunda Honsda, resident of village Harinagohai, district Dumka in Jharkhand, was also taking lunch along with other workers. He allegedly had some altercation with the manager over a petty issue. Then in a fit of anger the worker took out a steel road and attacked Suresh Chander on head. The manager fell down and started bleeding profusely.
Then the accused labourer rushed towards Welfare Officer and attacked him on forehead. By then the other workers overpowered Kailashwar and snatched the heavy road. Both the injured were rushed to nearby hospital where Suresh Chander was declared as dead. Welfare officer was provided first aid at Bari Brahmana hospital and then was referred to GMC hospital, Jammu.
Immediately after receiving information, SHO Bari Brahmana, Arun Jamwal reached the spot. He arrested the accused and registered a case against him. The body of the deceased was sent to GMC hospital for postmortem later. The factory management said that worker had come from Jharkhand hardly two days back and was believed to be mentally unsound. The Police said further investigation into the matter was in progress. The injured employee was said to be out of danger.
