DAC announces winners of Excellence in Advertising Awards 2014

New Delhi, Mar 29 : The most outstanding media initiatives of the year gone by were recognized and awarded at the “DAILY EXCELSIOR and LEHAR ADVERTISING sponsored DAC – Excellence in Advertising Awards 2014” held at a glittering ceremony today at Ashoka Hotel.
Seventeen Agencies received 40 DAC Excellence in Advertising Awards. The agency of the Year Award bagged by Innocean Worldwide India, whereas Campaign of the Year Award gone to McCann, New Delhi. More than 500 Executives from Advertising World attended the ceremony and awards for twenty categories were presented to the winners selected by the jury out of 228 entries received from various advertising agencies of Delhi and NCR. Award winning Ad-Agencies are : Airads, Adsyndicate, Adman, Bubna, Crayons, Catalyst, Cytomed (Alkem), Graphisads, Havas, Interads, Infinity, Innocean, Linen (Lintas), McCann, Mode, Niyati & Span.
A host of dignitaries from the advertising world were welcomed by H.S.Paul, President, V.K.Chopra, Chief Patron, Kailash Arora, Hony. Secretary, K.K.Malhotra, Hony.Treasurer and R.C.Tanwar, Convenor Program Committee, of the Delhi Advertising Club. The main sponsors of the event were Daily Excelsior of Jammu and Lehar Advertising of New Delhi whereas the creative and media supporters were Graphisads, Exchange4Media and Arohi Cinematics. The broad award categories include print advertising, TV/Radio Publicity, Outdoor Media and Print Material.
Speaking on the occasion’ HS Paul, President, Delhi Advertising Club said, “Delhi is gradually emerging as the Advertising Capital of India with major companies being headquartered in Delhi & NCR besides the Government advertising body like DAVP. According to industry estimates, if advertisers spend around Rs 30,000 crore in India, alone Delhi/NCR contributes to roughly 40%, with release orders to the tune of around Rs 12,000 crore being signed out of Delhi.
Mr.Paul further added that “Delhi Advertising Club’s Excellence in Advertising Awards” since its inception in 1991 is an endeavor to recognize the efforts and accomplishments of teams and individuals from the advertising fraternity here. These awards are not only a matter of honor for creative excellence, but have received tremendous support from media marketers and advertisers as well. “I am very much pleased with the support received from the industry and would like to thank all partners, sponsors of trophies, Jury members, board members life and ordinary members of Delhi Advertising Club for making the DAC Awards a great success”, he said and appealed to the members present to come forward and become active member of the club, which is now positioned as Dynamic and Vibrant Industry Body under his Presidentship.
At the ceremony, Late Dr.Vishwanath, Founder and Past President of Delhi Advertising Club was given LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD which was collected by his son Anil Sharma, Managing Director of Interads Advertising from V.K.Chopra-Chief Patron, DAC.
The Award Ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks by Kailash Arora-Hony.Secretary, DAC.
The Delhi Advertising Club has more than 370 members. These members are senior executives from leading advertisers, advertising agencies and media, including print, electronic, outdoor agencies and PR houses. The club has been functioning regularly since 1969.
