KISHTWAR, Sept 10: The residents of Dachan, Kishtwar have expressed their grave concern over lack of BSNL network in the area and alleged that being the sole means of communication the people of this far flung and remote area are facing problems on account of the same.
In a statement BJP leader and district vice president of the party, Kishtwar, Ravi Kumar Thakur said that for last one year the people have been facing this problem but the concerned authorities of BSNL have failed to redress the same.
He said when the entire world is under the grip of COVID Pandemic the people in Dachan apprehend worst in case any person in the area gets infected by the virus as there are no means of communication available. The construction of road to Dachhan was started with the efforts of former Minister Sunil Sharma which was abandoned for years together but it has not been completed as work is going on snail’s pace.
He demanded that the private mobile towers be established in the area in view of the present problem.
He said despite taking up the issue with DC Kishtwar many times by the locals but to no avail. He also demanded Degree College for Dachan as students are facing problems due to lack of higher education facilities in the area.
