DADAA takes signatures campaign for Duggar Channel to Bishnah

JAMMU, July 9: Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA) here today took their signatures campaign for the long pending demand of Satellite Duggar Channel to Bishnah area and educated the public regarding importance of Satellite Duggar Channel besides convincing them to support the cause.
Shambhu Ram Payasa, well known Dogri writer and actor from Bishnah said that Satellite Duggar Channel is need of the hours to promote the language, culture and heritage of Duggar land and to save the identity of Dogras.
A large number of people from different walks of life put their signatures in support of Satellite Duggar Channel and also appreciated the efforts of DADAA for organizing the signature campaign for the demand.
DADAA and prominent citizens of Bishnah under the banner of DADAA also participated in a rally demanding Satellite Duggar Channel for the protection and development of rich cultural heritage, art and languages of Duggar land in general and for the welfare of artists in particular.
“Languages other than Dogri which are spoken in Jammu province and its adjoining areas as well as in Pakistan and PoJK like Gojri, Bhaderwahi, Kishtwari, Pahari, Mirpuri, Poonchi, Sheeraji, Paddari and Mujafrabadi will also be covered by the Channel,” the protesters said adding: “Each of these language has base in Jammu and these languages are well understood and spoken in many parts of Pakistan and PoJK, so the Satellite Duggar Channel may effectively counter anti-India propaganda of Pakistan.”
The members from Jammu who were also present in signature campaign were J.S Babli, Madan Rangila, Dr. Kamal Sharma, Harbans Sharma and Rajesh Raina.
