Daghh-a short film highlighting pangs of turmoil released

JAMMU, Nov 17: Kashmiri short film Daghh (The Pain) highlighting the pangs of turmoil and terrorism was released at Sanjeevani Sharda Kender here, today.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (RRC), Dr Arvind Karwani was the chief guest on the occasion while Ramesh Hangloo, Director Radio Sharda, Swami Kumar, M K Pandita and M L Dogra were the guests of honour.
The film was released by Bhoomi Human Welfare Society in collaboration with Yashika Productions in presence of galaxy of artists, intellectuals and prominent citizens.
The film has been produced of veteran artist, J K Koul Bezaan and it was directed by Jitender Jotshi. The audience highly acclaimed the film depicting real pain of the victims of terrorism hounded out of Kashmir. It also depicted the deep intercommunity bonds which prevailed between minority and majority community people in Valley prior to turmoil.
The artists including Capt (retd) Mahraj, J K Koul, Jitender Jyotshi, Daisy, Sumita, Sakshi, Priya, Ramesh , Vinay, Rahul, Yashika, Alla, Amisha. It was filmed by Devinder Singh and Kuldeep Raj, makeup by Shami Dami, background music by Kuldeep Saproo, song was composed and sung by Sandeep Koul and assisted by Vijay Raina, and Rahul Pandita, costume by Shoki Lidhoo. P K Raina was the anchor. The subtitle was given by Promila Pandita and production team was headed by Susheel Bhat.
The team Bhoomi honoured the chief guest and guests of honour on the occasion.
In his address Dr Arvind Karwani lauded the efforts of the team for making a short film and appealed the community youth to come forward and work for the betterment of the community. He stressed on exploitation of hidden talent among the community youth.
Ramesh Hangloo also spoke on the occasion and assured that Radio Sharda will provide all support to budding artists in displaying their talent. He said Radio Sharda has been established with this motive to give exposure to hidden talent of youth.
Later the chief guest along with guests of honour presented mementoes to all artists, technicians and other team members.
Bihari Kak a well known artist, Prof Rawal, Naina Saproo, Dr Kuldeep Sudeshi, Kusum Dhar, Bal Krishan Sanyasi, Ashok Gowhar and among prominent people present on the occasion.
