KISHTWAR, Nov 13: Keeping vigil to defeat the nefarious designs of some political parties to influence voters, police seized large quantity of daily use items, cement bags and PHE pipes in two separate incidents.
As per police sources, political parties lodged a complaint that some of the contesting candidates are influencing voters with illegal means.
Acting on the complaint, police seized 700 boxes containing blankets, food and other daily use items from Trithloo, tehsil Gandoh. The material was lying in two rooms which have been seized by police and handed over to election flying squad team led by the concerned Tehsildar.
In another incident, police also seized 150 bags of cement and 90 pipes of PHE at Thathri. The seized material was handed over to election authorities to ascertain the details.
