Daily wagers’ concern over failure of officers in furnishing list to DPC

JAMMU, Oct 10: PDD Daily wagers have expressed concern over the delaying tactics adopted by the authorities in their regularization who have since completed their seven years service.
The daily wagers in a meeting today at Ganderbal sought the immediate intervention of Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha in the matter. The meeting was chaired by Trade Union leader and chairman JK Pensioners Welfare Forum , Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani.
He urged the Government to take immediate steps regarding the regularization of daily wagers and other temporary employees of the department as has been a past precedence. He said delaying tactics adopted by the authorities in this regard has led a lot of resentment among the daily wagers.
Mir said thousands of posts are lying vacant in the department but it has failed to regularize the daily wagers to adjust them against those posts as department is facing adequate manpower shortage. He regretted that the Chief Engineer , KPDCL, Srinagar who is also the chairman of Divisional Level DPC , Kashmir despite writing several letters to concerned Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers regarding furnishing the case files of eligible PDL/TDL workers who have completed seven years or more continuous service up to 31-12-2019 along with relevant requisite documents to his office but to the dismay of the hapless daily wagers these officers have failed to furnish the same till date which is a cause of concern.
Mir urged these officers to furnish the list to the concerned quarters without any delay failing which the daily wagers will be forced to come on streets.
