SRINAGAR, Feb 1: All PDL /TDL Workers Association Circle, Ganderbal protested against PDD authorities for not redressing the grievances of the daily wagers of Ganderbal Circle.
The protestors alleged that All Executive Engineers of the Circle failed to submit the seniority lists to higher authorities although they have been asked several times by them for submission of the lists.
Besides, some leftover daily wagers have not been included in the list when they are working continuously in the Department since 2012. They are badly suffering for over a decade.
Moreover DPC conducted in 1/2019 has not been implemented so far reasons best-known to the authorities when more than 2000 genuine cases of daily wagers are pending. Their carrier has been ruined by the authorities. They have worked in the Department for last 15 to 20 years on meagre wages, the protestors added.
Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, president of the Association Circle Ganderbal stressed upon the PDD authorities to redress the grievances of the daily wagers without further delay as their families are suffering badly.
He demanded that the rate be enhanced up to 600/per day and daily wagers with seven years be converted in to regular establishment as per the SRO, safety tools be provided to workers, seniority list be circulated in subdivision offices and uniform be provided to field workers.
He warned the authorities that if the demands were not fulfilled they have no option except to come to streets.
