Daily wagers to start hunger strike if demands not met

KARGIL, Sept 25: The protesting daily wagers and casual workers warned to start hunger strike if their demands are not met.
A large number of daily wagers and casual workers along with their families and children assembled at Council Secretariat here and held protest.
It is pertinent to mention here that the daily wagers and casual workers are protesting across Union Territory of Ladakh from the past few days demanding their regularization and minimum wages.
President Daily Wagers Association Kargil Mohammad Askari said they raised their issues with local administration, LG Ladakh and other political leaders, but were not redressed till yet.
“We will start hunger strike if our demands are not redressed in the shortest possible time”, he added.
