DAJ demands Govt job for kin of martyr doctor

JAMMU, Aug 9: Doctors Association Jammu (DAJ) has demanded J&K Government to grant Government job to one of the kin of Dr Ashraf Ali who attained martyrdom while treating Corona patients.
Extending deepest condolences on behalf of all the Association members to the family of the martyred doctor, DAJ president, Dr Balvinder Singh said though no monetary compensation can repair the loss of brave doctor, Government should grant Dr Mohd Ashraf’s family the insurance amount of Rs 50 lakh, as was announced earlier.
Dr Balvinder said Dr Ashraf was a brave doctor and was presently working as Senior Medical Officer at District Hospital Pulwama. He demanded that Dr Ashraf be laid to rest with full state honour.
Dr Manjeet Singh, general secretary of DAJ said that one of the family members of the martyred doctor should be granted a Government job. He appealed the doctors involved in COVID-19 management to take adequate measures. He also appealed the public to observe all the safety measures to lesson the spread of COVID 19.
