Srinagar, May 8: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today launched its website at a function in SMHS hospital here.
A DAK statement said the website goes live today and is located at www.doctorsassociationkashmir.com. Speaking on the occasion, the DAK president Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan said that the website would allow people to access detailed health information with ease. The site will inform, educate and empower people about health issues and develop initiatives to address them.
“It offers a simplified menu and easy-to-navigate layout, so visitors can quickly and easily find information they need. This user-friendly portal is compatible with all desktop and mobile devices. The website also allows visitors to share web pages on their social networking sites,” he said.
It has a special feature of “patient area” that would offer answers to the queries of patients and reduce their trips to hospitals, said the Dr Nisar. ‘Providing help to patients is the simple principle guiding this venture.’ The site has a unique feature of ‘online chat’ that would enable patients to seek health related advice in the comfort and convenience of their homes. It is about listening to what patients want to talk about,” he added.
There is also a ‘Doctors Area’ that would allow medical professionals to submit their research papers and publications, the DAK president said, adding that additionally, the site will give people better idea of what DAK is doing to improve health care of the community. DAK is tirelessly working for a comprehensive health policy that would better serve the health needs of people.
