DAK receives award for Soil and Water Conservation works

JAMMU, June 20: For their exceptional contributions to the overall development of agriculture sector and Implementation of Soil and Water Conservation works in the UT of J&K, the Director Agriculture Kashmir (DAK) Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal received the prestigious “IASWC Gold Medal award 2023” here today.
The award was given to Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the overall development of agriculture in the UT of J&K.
The award presented in Dehradun by Indian Association of soil and water conservationists IASWC highlights Chowdhury Iqbal’s dedication and impactful efforts in the field of agriculture, implementation of soil and water conservation works in the UT of J&K.
After receiving the award, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal expressed his profound happiness and termed the award a matter of immense pride.
He conveyed his deepest gratitude to Chief Secretary UT of J&K Atal Dulloo and principle secretary Agriculture production and farmers welfare department J&K Shailender Kumar for their unwavering support and guidance, which have been instrumental in this accomplishment.
He also expressed his thanks to farming community of J&K and all the stakeholders associated with agriculture, soil and water conservation works.
Every year the Indian Association of Soil and Water Conservation (IASWC) honours individuals and organisations for their outstanding contribution to Agriculture and Soil Water Conservation.
