Dalai Lama to visit Ladakh from July 10

LEH, June 16: Tibetan Spiritual leader The Dalai Lama will visit the Union Territory of Ladakh for more than a month from July 10.
This was announced at a press conference today by Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) president Thupstan Chhewang along with Ladakh Gompa Association (LGA) at a press conference here.
After three days rest at Photang, the Dalai Lama will visit Chowkhang.
He will deliver sermons to the gathering at Choglamsar from July 21-23. He will also visit Ladakh Lamdon Yarchose Chenmo (Lamdon golden jubilee celebrations) at Lamdon School Leh during first week of August.
The visit of the Dalai Lama has been communicated to LBA from Dharamshalla headquarters of the Tibetan spiritual leader.
He is expected to stay in Ladakh till August 20 or 25 depending on his other engagements.
Further schedule of the Dalai Lama including the places he will visit in Ladakh during his stay will be decided in consultations with him and his staff on his arrival at Leh.
