JAMMU, Apr 30: Dalit Samaj today took out a procession in protest against the filthy remarks made by Ramdev against Dalits, recently.
More than 400 people of Dalit Samaj including men, women and children, supported by other people took out the protest procession from Rajpura Mangotrian Chowk.
The processionists carrying placards shouted slogans criticizing Ramdev for his filthy remarks against Dalits. After passing through the streets and Bazaars of Shakti Nagar, the processionists also burnt the effigy of Ramdev. They were demanding stringent action against Ramdev for his filthy remarks against dalits.
Prominent among those who actively participated in the procession were president, Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Rajpura, Mangal Dass Dogra, general secretary, Romesh Angurana, Vijay Kumar, Ganesh Dass, Ram Dayal Rana, Dilip Thapa and Bishan Dass.
Leaders of Mahasha Sabha, Bhagat Biradri and other dalit organisations also participated in the procession.
