NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya, describing him as a ”visionary” who played a major role in bringing cricket world cup to India. ”I am sad to learn about the passing away of Jagmohan Dalmiya. He was a visionary and well known leader of Indian cricket. ”As the President of Board of Control for Cricket in India, he played major role in bringing cricket world cup to India,” the President said in his condolence message. He said in Dalmiya’s death, the nation had lost a personality who brought Indian cricket as well as Indian industry to greater heights. The BCCI President died of a cardiac arrest in Kolkata last evening. (AGENCIES)
