JAMMU, Mar 31: A meeting of general body of Adbi Kunj J&K was held here today to hold election for the post of Adbi Kunj president which fell vacant after the demise of Sham Talib.
The election was conducted under the supervision of former Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, B.S Jamwal and Om Aarsh Dalmotra was unanimously elected as new president of Adbi Kunj after vice chairman, Sarwar Chauhan Habib proposed the name of the present chairman Dalmotra for the post and it was seconded by former general secretary, K.R Salgotra and vice president, Santosh Shah Nadan.
After this, Dalmotra proposed the name of Piyasa Anjum for the vacant post of chairman, which was seconded by Dharmesh Nargotra and Jawahar Jyoti Rahbar.
B.S Jamwal announced that elections for the remaining office bearers would be held after completion of three years.
Dr. Nirmal Vinod, former general secretary Dogri Sanstha was observer.
Current committee members, vice chairman, Sarwar Chauhan Habib, vice chairman, Santosh Shah Nadan, general secretary, M.S Kamra and organizing secretary, Jitendra Jolly were also present along with new members of the working committee K.R Sargotra, Dharmesh Nargotra, Raj Kamal, Ram Krishan, Abid, Uttam Singh Rahi, Shams Rajan, Jawahar Jyoti Rahbar, Ramesh Rahi, R.R Malhotra, Dharmapal Kataria, Muhammad Baqir Saba, Rakesh Tript and Raj Kamal.
Tributes were also paid to Shyam Talib and Gurudev O.P Sharma Sarathi.
