RAJOURI, Aug 12: The residents of Danna Charung are facing significant challenges due to the absence of a culvert/bridge over Danna Nallah.
This issue is particularly affecting school-going children, who struggle to navigate the area, especially during the rainy season. The local community has repeatedly raised this concern, emphasizing the urgent need for a culvert to be constructed.
Similar demands have also been voiced by the residents of Sheikh Mohalla, Ward No. 9, for culvert at Sonala Nallah, who are experiencing similar difficulties. The absence of proper infrastructure is not only causing daily inconvenience but also poses a risk to the safety and well-being of the local population.
Prominent community leaders, including Shamim Ahmed Mughal, senior NC leader, Abdul Ghani Shawl, District general secretary BJP, and ex-Councillor Advocate Anjum Shawl, have strongly advocated for immediate action. They have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, UT, to personally intervene and address this pressing issue.
The residents are urging the authorities to recognize the urgency of the situation and expedite the construction of the necessary culverts. The lack of proper infrastructure during the rainy season has made life extremely difficult for the locals, who are suffering greatly as a result.
