DAP manure will be soon available to J&K farmers: Sukhnandan

JAMMU, Nov 9: Chambal DAP manure will soon be available to J&K farmers as first consignment of the same is all set to reach here, today, said former Minister and Chairman J&K BJP Panchayati Raj Cell, Sukhnandan Choudhary.
Sukhnandan Choudhary accompanied by BJP office secretary, Tilak Raj Gupta and media secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra was addressing a press conference at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, to highlight the availability of the manure and compensation for the damaged crops in the region.
Choudhary said that the second rack of the IPL DAP will also reach Jammu within two to three days, while adding that third rack of IFFCO DAP is also set to reach Jammu before 20th November. He complimented Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for his primary concern to the issues of the farmers.
He said that there was scarcity of the manure particularly DAP manure to the farmers. He mentioned that with the efforts of union MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh, who called on the Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemical and Fertilizers of India L. Mansukh Mandaviya in Delhi to discuss the plight of the farmers. He also appreciated the role of Agriculture Commissioner, Naveen Choudhary for his commitment shown in the issue.
He said with the supply of DAP reaching Jammu this month farmers will be able to sow their next crops in time.
Sukhnandan Choudhary also highlighted the damage to the crops in whole of the Jammu & Kashmir and particularly especially the losses suffered by the farmers from Jammu region due to the recent hailstorm. He said that the Prime Minister was much worried over the farmers’ condition and essentially guided the immediate measures to provide relief to them.
He also said that compensation to the farmers for their loss of crops will be paid soon and first payment will be released mostly today in the farmers account itself.
He noted that this is the first time that timely compensation is being provided to the farmers and this could be done only with the special consideration of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
