JAMMU, Mar 13: Concluding her five day visit of Peer Panjal region, Chairperson J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi visited Sub-Division Mendhar of Poonch district and participated in several programmes.
The students and Ulema of Hazrat of Madarsa Chottay Shah Badshah gave a rousing welcome to Dr Andrabi on her arrival. Dr Andrabi took stock of the facilities at the shrine of Hazat Syed Chottay Shah Badshah (RA) situated at Sakhi-Maidan Mendhar and laid the foundation stone of Bait-ul-Ziareen at the Ziarat and also addressed the public gathering.
In her address Dr Andrabi said that Waqf management has come out of air-conditioned rooms and believes in reaching out to ground zero in all areas of J&K leaving behind no area at all. “We are committed to implement the reformatory decisions at grass root level in all areas of J&K”, Darakhshan said.
The Waqf Board Chairperson also laid foundation stone of shopping-cum-office complex at Bus Stand, Mendhar. The local population appreciated the steps taken by J&K Waqf Board.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi also interacted with representatives of various delegations of Ulema at Dak Bungalow Mendhar and after listening to them assured to fulfill their genuine demands soon.
CEO J&K Waqf Board Dr Majid Jahangir, Administrator Waqf Poonch Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi ACR Poonch, SDM Mendhar Mohd Jahangir Khan, SDPO Mendhar Sheezan Bhatt, Field Inspector Abdul Rashid and other Waqf Board officers also accompanied the Chairperson during her visit to bordering Sub-Division of Mendhar in Poonch district.
