JAMMU, Sept 16: The Awadhi Food Festival “Dawat-e-Awadh” commenced at Radisson Blu here.
Chef Pramod and Chef Sunil have conjures heavenly culinary delights across vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus, offering delectable starters, main course and mouth-watering desserts. This festival will provide the perfect place for Jammuites to gorge on some of the most authentic and delectable flavours from the land of Awadh. This unique food festival will provide a plethora of traditional Awadhi dishes which are made and presented in Radisson Blu Jammu’s signature style.
Awadhi cuisines are native to the City of Lucknow and is famous for the art of cooking over a slow fire. The richness of Awadh cuisines lies not only in the variety of cuisine but also in the ingredients used like mutton, cheese and rich spices.
The restaurant, Blu Pan, will host the festival from today to September 23. The menu promises to bring the exclusive flavours of extravagant Awadhi cuisine to your table. The spread offers authentic and original cuisines, with dishes cooked by Executive Chef Roushan, Chef Pramod and Chef Sunil.
The chefs work with handpicked spices to retain the authenticity of the dishes. Some of the specialties that are likely to draw the gourmet’s attention are Galawat, Pasanda, Shami and Kakori kebabs to the main course consisting Fawaid-e-Akhrot, Aatish-e-Phool, Badshahi Tangri, Nihari Gosht and Gosht Shahinababi coupled with a variety of breads including the Rare Sheermal and Afghani Roti. Desserts include a delightful spread of Shahi Tukda, Banami Kheer, Zafrani Kheer and Sewiyan Ka Muzaffar amongst others. The buffet spread will be available for dinner from 7 pm onwards.
Speaking about the event, General Manager CB Singh said, “Dawat-e-Awadh” is a part of the hotel’s continuous efforts to offer something special and exciting to our esteemed guests, making it a memorable experience for them. We want them to taste the original preparations of these dishes which have been cooked meticulously by the chefs”.
