JAMMU, May 16: In a broad day light sensational incident, two unidentified miscreants riding on a motorbike today overpowered an old woman and snatched her gold chain in Trikuta Nagar locality.
The victim has been identified as Kartaro Devi, 62 wife of Harbans Lal, a resident of Sector No. 1 A, Extension Trikuta Nagar.
Reports said that Kartaro was busy in shopping in a general store situated in Sector 1 A Extension when two unidentified youth entered into the shop and snatched gold chain from her neck.
After snatching, the duo managed to escape from the spot riding a motorcycle without any resistance as there was no police presence in the area.
Later, she lodged a complaint with the Trikuta Nagar police station. Police parties rushed to the spot but failed to trace the culprits. No arrest has been made so far when the reports last came in.
