JAMMU, Feb 25: In a Public Interest Litigation regarding creation of posts for SAC and SVC, State Accountability Commission today filed CMP seeking permission to file status report.
In the status report, it has been submitted that there was no serious effort on behalf of the Government to provide staff and infrastructure for smooth functioning of the SAC such the Commission was not in a position to effectively function for purpose and manner for which its constituted.
After hearing Advocate SS Ahmed appearing for the PIL, Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi appearing for SAC whereas Senior AAG Gagan Basotra for the State, Division Bench comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar allowed and permitted the SAC to place a record its status report.
The DB also directed the respondents to file response within two weeks.
