DB directs AG to produce ban notification

JAMMU, Mar 10: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by SAVE (Save Animal Value Environment), an NGO through its Chairperson Devinder Kaur Madaan seeking ban on sale, purchase and use of plastic/synthetic/Chinese sharp kite strings in J&K for being hazardous and fatal, Division Bench of the State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed the Advocate General to produce ban notification.
After hearing Advocate S S Ahmed appearing for the PIL, DB directed Advocate General DC Raina to produce notification regarding ban on procuring stoking, sale and use of nylon strings, made of non-bio-degradable material, whether coated or not, for flying kites in the State of J&K on April 4.
