JAMMU, Oct 27: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by practicing advocates seeking directions for computerization of courts, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice BS Walia today directed Chief Secretary to file status report or appear in person on next date of hearing.
After hearing Advocate Aparajita Jamwal for the PIL whereas Senior AAG Seema Shekhar appearing for the State, the DB observed, “Senior AAG has submitted that due to circumstances beyond her control, the status report as directed by the court could not be filed and Chief Secretary shall file status report on or before next date of hearing”.
Upon this, Division Bench directed Senior AAG Seema Shekhar that status report shall be filed before next date of hearing or Chief Secretary shall remain present.
