JAMMU, Feb 10: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Smile Social Youth Club through its President Matloob Saleem Qureshi seeking facilities for organ transplant, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today directed Principals of Government Medical Colleges of Jammu and Srinagar to appear in person on next date of hearing.
On last date of hearing, Principals of Government Medical College Jammu and Srinagar were directed to come with a detailed project report so as to enable the court to monitor the steps required to be taken to set-up the facilities.
“Neither the project report has been submitted nor the counsel for the respondents is present”, the DB observed and directed Principals of Government Medical College Jammu and Srinagar to appear before court on next date of hearing along with prospective project report.
