JAMMU, Mar 5: In a petition highlighting dearth of staff at various levels and pay anomaly, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur has directed Registrar General to hold meeting with Commissioner Secretary Department of Law and Justice, Principal Secretary Finance Department and Commissioner Secretary General Administration Department and resolve all pending issues on priority basis.
After hearing petitioner Joginder Singh (Bench Secretary High Court) in person whereas Senior AAG HA Siddqui appearing for the State and Senior Advocate AV Gupta with Advocate Aditya Gupta for the Registrar General, DB observed, “the Government has to give a proper reply to the High Court’s communication dated 3.5.2017 dispatched vide No. 6455/GS dated 05.06.2017 on all aspects. The staff strength needs to be increased for effective judicial functioning and this fact has been highlighted in High Court letter dated 05.06.2017”.
Keeping in mind all this and the orders passed on 13.12.2017 and in order to enable prompt resolution of issues, the DB directed the Registrar General to hold a meeting with Commissi-oner Secretary Law and Justice, Principal Secretary Finance Department and Commissioner Secretary General Administr-ation Department and resolve all pending issues on priority basis.
“The outcome of meeting shall be submitted to this court on or before March 26”, the DB directed.
