DB directs Secy Tourism to file fresh status report

PIL on Mantalai-Sudh Mahadev development

JAMMU, Nov 17: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Advocate Sumit Nayyar seeking adequate facilities for the tourists at Mantalai-Sudh Mahadev, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed the Administrative Secretary Tourism Department to file fresh status report mentioning the dates for completion of various ongoing works.
When the PIL came-up for hearing, Division Bench observed, “status report accompanied by an affidavit dated 15th October, 2018 has been filed by Rigzin Sampheal, Secretary to Government, Tourism Department setting out the details of developmental works being undertaken at Sudhmahadev, Mantalai and Patnitop”.
“Though the Secretary of the Department of Tourism has given the details of the works, funds released and funds utilized as well as current status of various works, we have not been informed about the projected dates of completion of the works”, DB said and directed him to file fresh status report.
