DB directs State to comply with orders

JAMMU, Nov 3: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Viklang Chattra Trust through its organizer Satya Pal Saraf regarding better care of old age home, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today granted four weeks time to the State for complying with the directions regarding identification of the land to construct composite home at RS Pura in Jammu and Samboora in Pampore.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Division Bench observed, “pursuant to the order dated August 7, Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir were directed to identify the land measuring about 16 kanals to construct composite homes both for Jammu and Kashmir divisions”.
Upon this, Senior AAG Gagan Basotra sought time to do the needful. On this, Division Bench granted four weeks time to comply with the direction.
