JAMMU, Apr 6: A Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice Sanjay Dhar has dismissed all the review petitions and writ petitions filed by the wine traders challenging the judgment passed in the month of December last year.
Following the judgment of High Court, several wine traders had approached the Supreme Court, which had dismissed the same with the direction to the petitioners to approach the J&K High Court for review of its judgment.
In the judgment passed in the month of December last year, the DB had issued directions for framing of new Excise Policy strictly in accordance with the Jammu and Kashmir Excise Act and the law laid down by the Supreme Court on the subject.
Following the judgment of the Division Bench last year, the Government framed the new Excise Policy whereby it has been decided to go in for e-auction.
