DB grants time for filing ATR on functioning of Nursing Homes

JAMMU, May 21: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Citizen Forum seeking regulation of charges by Nursing Homes, Division Bench of the State High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta has granted three weeks time for filing action take report.
After hearing Advocate Anil Sethi for the PIL whereas Deputy AG Sanjeev Padha for the State, DB observed, “by Government Order No.286-HME of 2010 dated 29.04.2010, the State Government had constituted the committee of officers to examine the rates being charged by private clinical establishments/ nursing homes/ hospitals/ diagnostic centers from the patients for treatment, diagnostic and other facilities and recommend the reasonable rate lists depending upon the quality of facilities provided to them”.
“However, no action taken report has been filed so far”, the DB further observed and granted three weeks time as prayed by Sanjeev Padha, Deputy AG, to enable him to place on record the action taken report.
