PIL seeking CBI probe into PSC selections

JAMMU, Nov 26: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Jammu Province Peoples’ Forum seeking probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into all the selections made by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission since its reconstitution in July 2015, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Rajesh Bindal has issued notice to Members of the Commission through its Secretary.
After hearing Senior Advocate KS Johal with Advocate Karman Johal for the PIL, the DB observed, “statutory period for service of the respondent has to elapse on December 3. Notice issued to some respondent have been received back un-served”.
The respondents have been impleaded in the array of respondents in the capacity being members of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. Let notice be issued to them through office of the Secretary of the Commission returnable by February 25, 2019, the DB said.
