DB seeks current status of Jammu, Srinagar, Ladakh slaughter houses

JAMMU, Mar 22: In the much publicised Public Interest Litigation filed by an NGO named SAVE through its Chairperson, Devinder Kour Madan alias Rumpy Madan seeking establishment of hygienic/modern slaughter houses in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh, the Division Bench of High Court of comprising Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh and Justice M A Chowdhary has directed Advocate General of J&K D C Raina and DSGI Vishal Sharma appearing for the UT of Ladakh to apprise the court with respect to latest position.
The Division Bench also issued directions with regard to latest status indicating the position of Kargil and Leh slaughter houses by the next date of hearing.
