JAMMU, Jan 28: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Dharminder Paul Singh Raina seeking direction to the respondents to provide specialized treatment to the border firing victims, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan has directed the State to file report giving complete details of the facilities which are provided to the border firing victims within a period of four weeks.
When the PIL came-up for hearing, Division Bench observed, “status reports have been filed by the Director Health Services, Jammu and the Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu. However, the same do not disclose any details of the victim of border firing or exact facilities which have been provided to the victims”.
After hearing Advocate Summit Nayyar for the PIL whereas Senior AAG HA Siddqui for the State, DB directed the State to file report giving complete details of the facilities which are provided to the border firing victims within four weeks.
