JAMMU, Sept 10: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice B S Walia has sought objections from the State in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking shifting of Government Degree College Majalta from Government Middle School Baryalta to Government Higher Secondary School Majalta.
The petitioners have also sought directions for holding an enquiry as to under which circumstances Government Degree College at Majalta which could have been made functional from Government Higher Secondary School Majalta has been made functional from three class rooms of Government Middle School Baryalta.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi appearing for the petitioners, DB issued notice to Chief Secretary, Commissioner/Secretary Education, Director Education Jammu, Director Colleges Jammu, Incharge Principal Degree College and Deputy Commissioner with the directions to file objections within one week.
