JAMMU, Nov 27: In a Public Interest Litigation regarding non-recruitment to the posts of Gazetted Cadre in the Union Territory of Ladakh during the last five years, a Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court comprising Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice Puneet Gupta has directed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Chief Secretary of Ladakh to file response within one week.

When the PIL came up for hearing, DSGI T M Shamsi submitted, “the reply is ready as such a short adjournment be granted to enable me to file the same before the Registry”. The DB permitted him to do the same during the course of the week and directed Registry to list PIL on 02.12.2024.
