DB seeks status report on illegal constructions in Katra

JAMMU, Feb 7: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding illegal constructions in Katra, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir today granted time for filing status report with the direction that in case of any failure in this regard a responsible officer of  Katra Development Authority shall remain personally present.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Additional Advocate General Seema Shekhar appearing for the KDA sought week’s time to file status report.
While granting time to file status report, the DB made it clear that Katra Development Authority shall ensure strict implementation of the directions for removal of illegal constructions, which are in operation.
“Advocate Ajay Sharma will submit a comparative table of all types of classified violations and the present status thereof with copy in advance to the other counsel appearing for the parties, within one week, so as to enable them to file their respective  response,   if any,   by   or   before   the  next  date”, the DB directed.
