JAMMU, Apr 24: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) is going to celebrate Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti on May 1 and 2 in the sabha premises.
This was stated by Dr Som Dutt Magotra, Chairman of the celebrating committee while interacting with media persons here today.
He further stated that on May 1 at 8 am, murti pooja of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram, Gayatri Mata and Saraswati Mata will be performed in accordance with vedic rituals by distinguished pandits. This will be followed by sahbhoj, he added.
Dr Magotra informed that on May 2, the function will start at 7:30 am by pooja, adding that havan yegnopavit ceremony will be performed to desiring young boys hailing from various parts of Jammu province.
Thereafter, a bhandara will be held, he said and appealed the people to participate in the programme.
