DBPS resents continuation of caste based reservation

JAMMU, June 14: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha and other organizations today expressed their anguish over the continuation of reservation policy based on caste and thus playing with the future of general category people.
Addressing a joint meeting of representatives of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Gramin Brahman Sabha and Rajput Sabha here today, senior member of the DBPS Advocate P C Sharma, Om Parkash Sharma, B S Jamwal lamented that all the political parties were ignoring the sentiments and problems of the general category people who are badly hit by the perpetuity of such policy.
While speaking on the occasion, Youth President of the Sabha, Ritiz Khajuria, Sunil Sharma and Gurdas Sharma said that reservation may be in the form of providing financial aid but not benefiting in competitive examinations and employment.
The meet unanimously decided to constitute a committee to take up the matter with the Government and take further course of action.
The press conference was organized by Ved Parkash Sharma, President of the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha.
