JAMMU, May 13: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal today directed the State to place before it the Government order regarding revision of pension for old age, handicapped persons and widows.
After hearing Advocate SS Ahmed appearing for the PIL whereas Deputy AG Ranjit Singh for the State and Advocate MA Bhat appearing for the Finance Department, the DB said, “the copy of the Government order is required to be placed before the court so that chances are explored to dispose of the petition”.
“In the event, there has been significant enhancement in the rate of pension, the petition can be disposed of with direction to the respondent to review the pension after regular interval”, the DB said.
