JAMMU, Feb 25: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking enhancement of pension for handicapped persons, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today the State to file reply by next date of hearing.
When the PIL came up for hearing, counsel appearing for the Finance Department sought time to get instructions regarding the proposal already submitted by the Social Welfare Department for enhancement of pension under various pension schemes for disabled persons.
After hearing Advocate SS Ahmed with Advocate Suraj Singh appearing for the petitioner, DB conceded the prayer of the counsel for the Finance Department.
