DBU holds School Connect Program-2024

JAMMU, Jan 11: Desh Bhagat University (DBU) organized School Connect Program and Lohri Carnival in collaboration with the Youth Welfare Department in the campus here today.
About 3000 students and 300 teachers from 40 convent schools of Patiala, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mohali, Malerkotla and Bhawanigarh participated in Lohri Carnival and school connect program. The Principals and teachers of different schools felicitated in the fields of education.
The celebration began with immense joy, excitement and fanfare. On this occasion Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University as chief guest, Dr Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, guest of honour, Dr Sandeep Singh, President and Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President were special guests of the event.
Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor while addressing the students informed about the importance of this holy festival and while increasing their knowledge said that Lohri is a famous festival in North India and especially in Punjab and Haryana. Dr Tejinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor said that this festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm. She said that the history of Lohri is also connected with the story of Dulla Bhatti.
Dr Colonel Pardeep Kumar, Registrar, Dr Virinder Singh, Advisor to Chancellor, Dr Surjit Kaur Patheja, Director Media and faculty members were also present on this occasion along with Principals, teachers and students of different schools. The students were dressed in traditional costumes and had also set up knowledge stalls of various departments for the students.
