DODA, May 2: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh here today visited Padri area to review completion of tourism projects.
The visit highlighted the ongoing efforts to ensure better connectivity and infrastructure for the upcoming tourist season.
During the visit, DC Doda met officers from tourism and road authorities to discuss the ongoing work on key roads.
He emphasized on the need to keep the roads cleared and to ensure that all tourist sites have updated facilities in the coming month, well in time for the upcoming tourist season.
DC Doda announced that the Bhaderwah-Chamba, Padri road was open for tourists and expressed optimism that the road with strategic importance would cater to tourist inflow from neighbouring Himachal Pradesh and other States.
The DC urged upon road authorities to work swiftly to ensure that this road remains open throughout the season, ensuring toilet and cafeteria facilities for the visitors and locals alike.
A handout stated that by emphasizing these improvements, district administration Doda in association with Tourism Department aims to enhance the overall tourist experience in the region promoting local livelihood through the same.
