BANDIPORA, Aug 23: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Owais Ahamed today inaugurated Cradle Baby Reception Centre (CBRC) and Child Care Institute for girls at Harmukh Colony Sonerwani Bandipora.
The inaugural function was attended by DPO ICDS Bandipora Mohd Ashraf Hakak, DSWO/ DCPO Bandipora, Officiale of Child Protection Unit Bandipora and CBRC.
The CBRC is established under mission Vatsalya and is first of its kind to be setup across North Kashmir. The centre will cater a number of districts including Bandipora, Baramulla and Kupwara.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora congratulated the concerned for commendable services in establishing the centre in Bandipora District.
He said the cradle centre is meant for babies who are devoid of parental care like orphans, abandoned etc.
He said, the centre will provide all services to the children including food, accomodation and medical facilities besides other essentials.
