BANDIPORA, Aug 21: On day second of the Gurez tour, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed today kickstarted macadamization of Dawar and adjacent roads.
The DC was accompanied by DDC member Gurez, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, SE R&B besides other concerned officers.
The Deputy Commissioner visited various areas of Gurez valley to take on spot inspection of various developmental projects. He inspected the auditorium, Indoor stadium, ITI and new Dak Bungalow besides other ongoing developmental works.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited Habba Khatoon Spring and directed concerned officers for development of the spring to bring out touristic ambience.
During inspection of works, the Deputy Commissioner also met youth, civil society members, traders and general public. People on the occasion appreciated the DC for visiting Gurez valley and listening to their issues and grievances.
While Inspecting various projects, the DC lauded the spirit of Gurez people for being proactive in developmental activities. He said that the people of Gurez are always on forefront to coordinate with administration.
He said district administration is committed to provide all necessary facilities for the upliftment of people and assured that all the works/ projects will be completed within set time line.
During his two day tour to Gurez valley, the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora was accorded warm welcome by general public at Achoora.
