BARAMULLA, Oct 25: On the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri, Javaid Ahmad, today paid a visit to the families of two porters who were killed in a brutal attack at Bota Pathri, Gulmarg.
During the visit to Nowshera Boniyar, the residence of slain porter Chaudhary Mushtaq Ahmad, the DC met with the bereaved family and extended condolences. He assured them of support from the administration during this difficult time.
Meanwhile, the DC accompanied by the SDM also visited Barnate Boniyar, the home of Zahoor Ahmad Mir, the slain porter, where they paid their respects and offered heartfelt condolences to the grieving family, acknowledging the service and sacrifice of the deceased.
During the visit, the DC presented compensation cheques of Rs. 6 lac to each family, aiming to provide immediate relief to support them through this period of loss.
