SAMBA, Dec 8: The District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee today reviewed the status of Aadhaar enrolment and further strengthening Aadhaar seeding ecosystem here at its meeting chaired by Anuradha Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Samba in presence of Sanjeev Mahajan, Director, UIDAI Regional Office, Chandigarh.
The Aadhaar authentication and Aadhaar offline verification including use of QR code for Aadhaar verification was also discussed.
The Deputy Commissioner Anuradha Gupta asked the stakeholder departments/ agencies to motivate the residents to enroll children below 5 years for Aadhaar and to get Mandatory Biometric updates done (MBU) on attaining the age of 5 years and 15 years.
She instructed SSA and ICDS to hold camps for the purpose. She also instructed to organize Aadhaar camps in Hospitals and vaccination centers to enroll newborn and left out children.
Director UIDAI, Chandigarh (Northern Zone) Sanjeev Mahajan informed that to simplify aadhaar usage, an array of services have been made available on mAadhaar app which can be accessed through mobile 24*7. He noted that the benefits of Aadhaar have not only led to monetary savings but also stimulated responsible behavior, transparency and faster delivery of benefits of various schemes of the Government.
The officers of Education Department, Health, Social Welfare, ICDS, Banks, CSC Centres, DNO Aadhaar besides representatives of Unique Identification Authority of India were present in the meeting.
