SAMBA, Feb 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Samba, Sheetal Nanda held a public meeting at Mahorgarh village of Nud block and listened to various issues raised by different delegations there.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Tilak Raj Sharma, GM DIC Varinder Manyal, ACD Aijaj Qaiser and district officers from all departments.
The villagers demanded improvement in basic amenities like power and water supply, and healthcare and road connectivity. They also asked for Archaeological Survey of India to take up restoration of Mahorgarh Fort for tapping tourist potential of the area.
The DC said that PMGSY road from Sarna to Mahorgarh is already under execution. Besides, proposal for road connectivity from Mansar is also under consideration. She informed that tourist view points are being developed under 14th Finance commission and pond renovation has already started under Rural Development Department’s preservation of water body’s scheme.
She also informed that administration shall promote village Chilla Danga to Mahorgarh Fort as a trekking route. The Deputy Commissioner also sought feedback from villagers regarding implementation of various Government schemes and asked them to regularly follow their cases with concerned departments.
